Business Partnering and Investment Opportunities

Due to the demand of Wagyu products both internationally and domestically, Macquarie Wagyu is inviting interested parties to participate in the production of Wagyu cattle.

At present Macquarie Wagyu has a contracted supply to the feedlot of specific Wagyu genetics. We have ensured these producers conform with our high levels of husbandry and ensure full life/product traceability. By doing this, a continued throughput and guaranteed supply to customers can be assured.

These opportunities are:

• Friesian Dairy Producers are required to join Friesian cows to Wagyu semen. The offspring are then purchased by us at approximately 8 – 10 months for placement in our feedlot. This contractual agreement gives the dairy farmer an agreed sale price 18 months in advance allowing for more precise budgeting.

• Meat end users who want to be part of the production of tailor made Wagyu products. This offers a guaranteed supply route as well as enabling them to share in profits generated at the feedlot level, passing onto them, in effect, lower meat prices.

• Independent investors who wish to participate can do so by purchasing Wagyu cattle, and have Macquarie Wagyu custom feed them. Macquarie Wagyu markets them though our sale program, passing profits back to the investor. Returns on investment are very attractive, for more details contact Tony Fitzgerald

Depending on the investment focus, an investor is provided the ability to participate in the Wagyu production chain, giving them guarantees that the product will be available when they wish it to be processed, or allow them to obtain the Wagyu product at a cheaper price because they have contributed to the production cost. For the independent investor it allows good rates of return as well as being part of a growth industry.
